Directions and an adapter with terminals are included for running a stock Mustang steering column. Separate optional under-dash light sockets along with original dome/interior light wiring. Instrument Cluster wiring is designed with a cluster harness disconnect system for easy service and assembly. The best aspect of the disconnect system is that any gauge cluster package can be easily and neatly wired in. This includes AUTOMETER, CLASSIC INSTRUMENTS, DAKOTA DIGITAL, STEWART WARNER, and VDO just to name a few. Rear body harness assembly plugs into the main harness behind the left hand kick panel for easy accessibility andallows for original or custom routing. Rear body wiring includes backup light lead and ground wires, stop and tail light lead wires with proper molded light socket connections, third brake light wire and the correct license plate lead connection for use with your stock tag lamp. Fuel tank sender wire and sending unit extension are included. NEW floor dimmer switch is provided. Wire length and connection accommodate original floor mount dimmer switch location. Engine wiring includes feeds for coil, tach, water temperature, oil pressure, brake warning (with later updated extension if necessary), and electronic speedometer (if necessary). A heavy gauge alternator feed wire is provided for a typical 1 wire high-powered installation. Front lighting includes extra long leads for special routing when custom under hood appearance is desired. All headlight, park light, fog light, and directional light leads are provided, as well as a switched trigger wire for electric fan relay (usually recommended with AC). The early GM/FORD generators and externally regulated alternators are just not up to the task of providing power to an expanded wiring system like these classic update kits. The point of this kind of kit is really to allow people a way to upgrade and expand their wiring system and so an alternator upgrade is usually part and parcel to this kind of upgrade. NOTE: These kits are recommended for MODIFIED original vehicles, not OEM restoration projects. Note: This wiring is designed to work on Internally regulated alternator and have a 12v feed for the coil/distributor/ignition box. This kit IS NOT set up with a resistance wire for a standard, points type ignition system. It is wired with a full 12 volt primary ignition feed that is hot in both the start and run positions. Fits RT, RT-S, SE5 and SM5 Models with trailer quick connect wiring harness 4 flat pins trailer connection. Manufacture with solid steel and Powder Coated in semi-gloss black. The Hitch comes with the side plates that once installed will remain on the Spyder but allows an easy removal and re-installation of the hitch. It is predrilled to accept a 1 7/8″ or 2″ Ball. There are 2 holes for the security chains or steel cables. We use Canada Post services. RS-GS-ST And RT Hitch Installation Instructions. Do not change the belt alignment. Use a floor jack to take the weight off the rear wheel. Remove the plastic cover on each side of the axle. Remove the cutter pin on the right side. Unbolt the axle and remove it completely. You can use a rubber hammer to start sliding it out. Take the washers off on each side and replace them with the side plates. Note there is a left and right side. Re-install the axle and bolt it in place. Once this is done, insert the cutter pin and re-install the plastic cover on the nut. Bolt in place the U-Shape hitch using the hardware included in the box. Insert the bolt from the inside out and once it is bolted in place, install the plastic nut cover. Bolt the bracket (ball holder) in place and make sure to center it with the center of the wheel. It would be better to have someone helping you when re-installing the axle. One that pulls on the wheel and the other one that slides the axle back in place. Don’t change the belt alignment. Boulonner en place la bracket qui reçoit la boule. Bien la centre avec le centre du pneu. N’oubliez pas d’enlever le frein à main pendant l’installation. Ne pas changer l’ajustement de la courroie. L’installation se fait mieux à deux personne lors de la ré-insertion de l’essieu. Une personne tire sur la roue et l’autre glisse l’essieu. Merci pour votre achat.
